Russian Media Company Zerkalo becomes ARCCoM’s First Media Partner

ARCCoM welcomes its first media partner, the Russian media company Zerkalo. Its founder and owner, Leo Grichener, has a PhD in color theory and pre-press processes combined with 17 years of experience in computer graphic design. Since 2014 he has worked as a teacher/instructor at Brown College in Minnesota.

The Zerkalo company was founded in 1991 for the Russian-speaking community in Minnesota. Its goal was to unite the Russian community; to engage compatriots – especially those who didn’t speak fluent English – into the cultural life of the Twin Cities. Very quickly, Zerkalo became popular and grew into a 48 page, full-color glossy magazine. In addition to the magazine, Zerkalo publishes two monthly newspapers (North Star and Our Home Minnesota), and the annual Russian Language Business Directory of Minnesota

Zerkalo also has an e-mail newsletter and a community website, ZerkaloMN.com. For more than 25 years, Zerkalo’s media have been the only non-religious Russian language publications in Minnesota. Its newspapers, magazine, website, and email newsletter help keep the Russian-speaking residents of Minnesota actively involved in the rich cultural and business life of the Twin Cities. In addition, its media provide the Russian-speaking community with access to all local and national news and regulations and promote all major Russian businesses, projects, and events designed to unite the Russian-speaking community and help it prosper and succeed.
